Box Jumps

I’ve increased my lifting of heavy things which has really helped with my blood glucose readings. However, the hack squats, or perhaps overexertion, have led to some lower back pain. As an alternative to squats, I’ve been doing more box jumps which is a plyometric exercise.

It’s very simple really. My gym has boxes which have different heights. I go for 50cm. I go for twelve explosive reps, do another exercise like planking for a minute and then go back to the box. I do four or five sets. It’s a great exercise to work your legs and glutes.
